I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart
You're In Style when You're Wearing a Smile |
Playing the Old time Music from The Gay 90s through the 30s
Get your toes tappin' and your smiles on when you hear the music of Way Back When. We're based in Shingle Springs, CA and will happily travel throughout El Dorado County, or the greater Sacramento/Folsom area, to provide entertainment for your special occasions, senior care homes, or group events.
We bring the "Good Old Days" back to life with the popular music of those days, evoking memories of earlier, and simpler times. A few from our extensive song list: "Bill Bailey," "All of Me," "Bye Bye Blackbird," and "Hindustan." Then we mix in a little Country with "San Antonio Rose," "I Want To Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart," or "Your Cheatin' Heart." We'll sometimes add "new" songs from the 30s,40s, or 50s, like "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon," & "Seems Like Old Times," but we always keep that fun banjo music front and center.

Way Back When at Sacramento Banjo-Rama 2019 |
The left-side photo below was taken when we played for the Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad Santa's Grotto excursion. The right side photo is when 3 of us played for the Nello-Olivo Winery Wine Train excursion which runs in the evening from Folsom to Latrobe.
Check out the Placerville & Sacramento Valley RailRoad web page for fun family events coming again in 2022! They've got 2 "new" old engines – 1 is a steam engine! – and are planning holiday events in the Folsom Grotto. They also hope to resume the Wine Train excursions in Folsom as soon as possible. We play at many of their events, and are looking forward to resuming this in 2022.
If you have a Facebook account, you can see many photos of the railroad workers, trains, and lots of pictures of our band at the various events.
